EasyCare Family

Purpose and personal choice

EasyCare Family supports daily routines, independence and contact between people. It is intended to help family members support a user with the user’s knowledge and agreement.

Joining a family connection and sharing personal information are voluntary. If someone acts for the user, they must have valid authority for that particular decision. The app does not verify powers of attorney or guardianship.

Local features can be used without family sharing. Permission to read Apple Health and permission to share daily updates are separate choices. Hiding a feature does not necessarily stop an existing sharing choice.

Information on your device

The app stores settings, selected features, local plans, chosen content and app-specific user and device names.

Toothbrushing can be marked manually, recorded with a duration, timed in the app or received from a selected supported Oral-B Bluetooth brush. Records may include times, duration, recording method and connection status. Raw Bluetooth packets are not shared with family.

With permission, the user’s device reads weight measurements from Apple Health for charts and calculations. The app does not write weight or brushing records to Apple Health. Caregiver view does not read the caregiver’s own weight.

What may be shared with family

Family connection uses invitations and private CloudKit sharing through participants’ own Apple accounts. Shared content is stored with Apple and may be received and stored locally on connected devices.

Chosen shared content may include names and device labels; connection and update times; appointments and reminders; text and voice messages; read acknowledgements; selected photos; selected video links; and the curated video-call contact list. The entire address book or photo library is not automatically shared.

After a separate active opt-in, actual toothbrushing records and weight measurements may be shared, including dates, durations or kilograms and selected follow-up rules. These are personal measurements, not anonymous signals. A family connection does not provide general access to Apple Health.

The publisher does not operate a server to store your measurements. Using Apple services does not mean that no data leaves the device: invited family members and the services used by the selected features receive the information needed for those features.

Services, permissions and settings code

Apple provides iCloud/CloudKit, Health, music services, FaceTime and system notifications. Music and calls use the relevant Apple services and their permissions.

Video search, thumbnails and playback connect to Google/YouTube. Google may receive searches, IP addresses, device/network and playback information, and may use cookies or web storage. A signed-in web session may affect this.

The microphone is used when you actively record a voice message. Photos and individual contacts can be selected with system pickers. Permissions can be changed in device settings.

The optional four-digit code helps prevent unintended settings changes on the user’s iPad. Caregiver view on an iPhone does not require a local app code. Local codes and private keys are stored in the device’s Keychain. Viewing or replacing a code remotely requires permitted code access, a verified family connection and system authentication. Disabling it remotely requires confirmation. Local recovery uses a ten-second hold and confirmation, preserves content and does not need a phone or a screen-lock passcode. The app does not receive biometric templates.

Keeping information, stopping sharing and deleting

Local settings and content may remain until you change or remove them or delete app data. Local measurement caches and notification history are marked for exclusion from ordinary iCloud device backup. Optional CloudKit sharing is a separate transfer.

Shared brushing summaries cover approximately the latest 30 days and shared weight summaries up to 92 days, subject to record limits. New summaries replace the current summary; this does not promise deletion of every previously received copy or notification on a particular date.

Messages may be kept or removed after a chosen period following reading. Cleanup needs a connected app to run and synchronise. A user’s optional deletion hides a message from their own overview; caregivers can delete the family’s shared message.

Stopping daily updates, disconnecting a device and deleting shared content are different actions. Offline copies can remain until devices synchronise. Deleting EasyCare does not delete original information in Apple Health, Photos or Calendar.

Beta feedback, contact and your choices

The app does not include advertising or third-party advertising/analytics SDKs. Information is used for the chosen app functions, synchronisation, follow-up thresholds and troubleshooting.

Through TestFlight, Apple may provide the publisher with technical testing, usage and crash information. Feedback you choose to send can contain your email, comments and screenshots. Do not include sensitive measurements or settings codes unless needed for an issue you deliberately choose to discuss.

Support correspondence and beta feedback are kept for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and relevant follow-up, then removed when no longer needed.

Where applicable, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, withdraw consent or object to processing, and complain to your data-protection authority. Contact the publisher using the contact details on this page. Requests concerning Apple’s or Google’s own processing can also be directed to them.

This website

This is an information website hosted through ChatGPT Sites. The hosting providers receive technical requests needed to deliver its pages. Sites may make traffic statistics, such as page views and visitor counts, available to the publisher. We have not added analytics, advertising, forms or a family-data database to this site. Family photos, messages and measurements are not stored on this public website.

About reminders and alerts

Alerts depend on recorded information, selected rules, permissions, connectivity and device state. They can be delayed or fail. An absent record does not prove that an activity did not happen. EasyCare Family does not diagnose, detect falls from missing activity or establish that someone is safe.
